Jayme Johnson- President and Founder
Jayme began her career with authors by managing speaking events for Les and Leslie Parrott and was part of the founding team of The Marcus Buckingham Company where she served as Project Manager- playing key roles in brand development and the design of TMBC’s training resources. Upon the company’s relocation from Atlanta to San Diego, Jayme remained in Atlanta and took a role as Project/Account Manager for Atlanta’s famed graphic design firm FiveStone. There, Jayme honed her project management skills further, and gained invaluable knowledge of branding, print design, web design and multimedia production- all strong passions of hers.
This passion led her to fulfill a lifelong dream to live in New York City where she served a brief stint with Fletcher & Co. literary agency before meeting her husband and following her heart toward him- in Omaha, NE. After a couple of years in Nebraska, Jayme and her husband, Matt, gave in to their pull back to the southland.
Jayme has served superstar author clients that include Gretchen Rubin, Susan Cain and John Ortberg, in addition to serving as an independent consultant for many other New York Times bestselling authors. She is also a partner with bestselling author Jonathan Fields in the Tribal Author program.
Jayme and her husband Matt (see below) have a daughter, Lili, two cats, Finn and Fozzie (see below), and live outside of Atlanta, GA.
Matt Johnson- Founding Partner
If you happened to skim over the last line above, Matt and Jayme are not only partners in WMG, but also partners in marriage. Matt began his post-college career as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant within nursing homes- assisting elderly residents with their daily needs. After serving in this field for a number of years, Matt transitioned to retail management where he spent eight years learning the in’s and out’s of the retail business- from marketing, merchandising, inventory management and providing quality customer service.
Within Worthy Marketing Group, Matt manages blogger tours, social media, oversees daily operations and ensures quality music is on-hand at all times. A singer/songwriter in his spare time with a freakishly vast knowledge of music – Matt welcomes any music trivia questions you’d like to send his way.
Julia Struve – Design Director
Julia has been drawing since she was able to hold a crayon. She grew up in Naples, Florida, where she spent most of her free time baby-sitting and doodling. From greeting cards for her friends and family to tailored books for the children she cared for, Julia knew a career in art was inevitable.
She received a BFA in Graphic Design with honors from Florida Atlantic University and has been working in the field ever since. She is now an award-winning designer with experience in fields ranging from package, real estate, political and corporate design.
Julia lives outside Atlanta with her husband, David, their son, Elijah, their daughter, Ava, and their toy rat terriers, Olive & Coco.
Leslie Brogdon – Marketing Coordinator
Leslie Brogdon began her career working with Therapeutic Organizations, and Placement Agencies for foster children. She worked as a teacher, counselor and executive director for ten years in non-profit organizations. Leslie loves to spend time volunteering and is currently a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and also serves at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. At WMG Leslie helps manage bureau outreach, Executive Education outreach, and market research. In addition to her role at WMG, Leslie and her husband own a small clothing line that promotes racial diversity.
Amy Johnson – Administrative Assistant
Amy just happens to be Matt and Jayme’s sister! We like to keep things in the family from time-to-time. As WMG’s AA, Amy (that’s a lot of A’s) helps handle VA-type work for several of our clients. We’re happy she’s a key part of the team.
Finn & Fozzie – Activity Directors
From time to time, while on a call with WMG, you may hear Finn (left) or Fozzie chiming in to express their opinion on the matter at hand. They both take their job of keeping the company entertained quite seriously. Treat time is their favorite time of each day.
