About

I'm Jayme.
I launch books.

Twenty-plus years of marketing — New York firms, digital startups, nonprofits — distilled into one specialty: getting authors' work the attention it deserves.

Jayme Johnson

The short version

I started in marketing before "platform" meant anything other than a place to stand. Over two decades I've worked launches from inside New York firms, digital startups, and nonprofits — and along the way I found the work I love most: book launches.

There's nothing like them. A launch is a deadline, a story, a community, and a campaign all at once — and most authors face it exactly once, with no map. I founded Worthy Marketing Group to be that map. Since then I've worked launches with authors like Brené Brown, Gretchen Rubin, A.J. Jacobs, and Courtney Carver, alongside first-time authors whose names you'll know soon enough.

Everything I've learned across those launches lives in one framework: the Elements of Launch. It's how I structure every intensive, cohort, and full engagement — so you're never getting improvisation, you're getting a system that's been pressure-tested by some of the biggest launches in publishing.

How I work

It's me. When you hire Worthy Marketing Group, you work with me — not an account team, not a junior strategist learning on your book. For execution-heavy engagements I bring in a small bench of specialists I've worked with for years: designers, ad buyers, publicists, producers. I pick them, I manage them, and I stay your single point of contact.

No sleaze, ever. I believe authenticity is what actually sells books. I don't do manufactured scarcity, manipulative funnels, or tactics I'd be embarrassed to explain to your readers. The authors I work with want to make a positive impact — the marketing should match.

Honest scoping. If your launch needs a one-day intensive and not a six-month engagement, I'll tell you. The best marketing relationships start with the right-sized commitment.

Off the clock

Rooted in the desert, working with authors everywhere.

Home base is in Tucson, Arizona. I work with authors all across the globe — virtually and in person. When I'm not deep in a launch plan, you'll find me swimming, singing, and enjoying plenty of kitchen dance parties with my kiddos.
